Royal
Gorge Baptist Association is located in southern Colorado.
Our geographical area is basically along I-25 from Pueblo, CO to the
New Mexico border and west to the Sangre de Cristo mountains. RGBA includes
Pueblo, Fremont, Custer, Huerfano, and part of Las Animas counties.
The total population is approximately 230,000 people. The largest city
is Pueblo, with a population just over 100,000.
Our region is unique in many ways. Royal Gorge, which our association is named after, is a scenic wonder with the world's highest suspension bridge (1053 feet). Pueblo is the home of the Colorado State Fair, the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals, and is nicknamed "Home of the Heros" for the four Medal of Honor receipts from the city (more per capita than any other city in the U.S.). Fremont county has 14 prisons - more than any other county in the nation. The southern part of our area has the Highway of Legends - one of the first scenic highways in Colorado and, declared by some, as being the most scenic drive in the state.
Royal Gorge Baptist Association is affiliated with the following entities.
Colorado General Baptist Convention
Our Beliefs:
Each of our churches are completely autonomous in structure in nature.
As a result, there can be minor differences in their theological beliefs.
However, the majority of our churches and the associational staff subscribe
to the Baptist
Faith and Message 2000.
